Well I’ve decided I haven’t got quite enough distractions in my life already so I am going to ad this blog to record buying and cat video watching.
Let me start with a question. See if anyone is out there.
So, you have just had some work commissioned (or secured, or about to begin whichever suits your particular industry). The battle commences to close Facebook (on ALL devices) douse the twittering and pop the youtube.
Almost ready, but first you must get some tunes on to get you in the mood. What do you listen to? Is it a dusty old Elmore James record or some moany Morrissey? What kind of music gets you motivated and in the zone?
Leave a comment and I promise not to judge…… much!
Dark Side Of The Moon will do it every time!
Mmm….so many….& depends on the season. Currently listening to Hozier a lot.
So it works!
Something like Pharoah Saunders, Upper Egypt or McCoy Tyner, Tender Moments when I’m painting. Anything jazzy and with, beautiful melodies, occasional loud blowing and brief moments of pure mayhem… Helps me paint, just like that..
Got to have freeeeedom….
maybe some northern soul, ska, jump blues, soulful disco, 60s r&b, latin boogaloo and 50′s rockabilly – are there any nights out in Galway that play that sort of thing..? nice site btw…
Don’t think you could possibly find a club night with such a wonderfully diverse range of genres could you??
